In Passing is a collection of works captured from experiences of this year, in which all of the
images follow a common theme. In this photographic work, I enjoy exploring the nuances of
everyday life that society makes a habit of over looking. I’ve chosen to present my work in a
variety of black & whites and color. In doing so, color plays a very important part in how the
viewer evokes and explores emotion from each image. The goal for my work is to take a step
back from whatever hectic life people may be living and to view their surroundings through
a different, and possibly new, perspective. It may not always bring out a positive or light hearted
feeling but my hope is to evoke some kind of emotion that is somewhat reminiscent and familiar.
